SUPPORT SERVICES INTERNSHIP
Support Services Interns at cityWILD primarily participate in our afterschool program and support the youth in whatever capacity arises during each day. In addition, interns engage in planning and leading core programming as well as small group facilitation during the afterschool program.
While cityWILD is not a formal mental health organization, Support Services Interns offer mental and emotional health support and case management to students and their families. To that end, we encourage interns to build close relationships with schools, families, and other community resources in order to best support our students.
Interns are invited to participate in weekend adventures such as rock climbing, snowboarding, rafting, camping, and hiking. Opportunities to participate in social change through inclusiveness work, participating in community coalitions, and networking with other service providers are also available.
In addition, interns receive
-
Weekly MSW supervision
-
Access to contract LCSW and LPC supervisors for additional supervision and support
-
Professional development trainings and opportunities
