Seth Winnerman brings over 10 years of youth work, informal education, leadership development and non-profits to cityWILD.  He has worked as an after-school Youth Director, financial educator for 3rd-8th grades, run high and low ropes courses, and most recently, helped run a community engagement based leadership program at the University of Denver. 

 Seth also maintains a commitment to the environment and service communities.  He has served on three different community boards, participated in numerous volunteer and environmental events and volunteered at organizations such as Urban Peak and the Ronald McDonald House. 

 An active outdoorsman who has an interest in international culture, Seth has worked, studied and traveled throughout the world.  He is an active cyclist (bike commuter!), skier, hiker, and occasional rock climber.

 Seth has a B.S. in Business from the University of Kansas and is currently in the midst of completing his capstone project for his Masters in Non-Profit Management from Regis University in Denver.

 

Nicole Todd
Support Services Director

Nicole joined the cityWILD team in 2006 when she moved to Denver from New York City, where she was working as a clinician at The Hetrick-Martin Institute. Nicole, who is Spanish speaking, has worked in a variety of settings throughout her social work career. She has worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs in both Chicago and Michigan, as a community organizer with Mexican and Central American immigrants, and as a clinician in mental health. Nicole is an intensively trained Dialectical Behavioral Therapist, has extensive training in crisis intervention, and also has experience working with a variety of family types and environments. She has a BSW with a minor in Spanish and has a Master’s in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago.

 

Juan Naranjo - Program Director

Juan Naranjo comes to cityWILD from Atlanta, GA by way of Cali, Colombia.  An avid outdoorsman, Juan has spent much of his life exploring and enjoying his natural surroundings, whether they be the Appalachian foothills of North Georgia, the desert vistas of Big Bend National Park or the Andes mountains of Colombia. Juan also brings to cityWILD a passion for volunteerism gained through many hours spent working in locations such as the Ninth Ward of New Orleans and Conejo, Honduras. Juan has been active in Soñar Despiertos, an Atlanta non-profit that makes Christmas wishes come true for children of low-income families. A former youth soccer coach, Juan is always eager to share his knowledge and passion of the sport to those who are willing to learn. In his free time, Juan enjoys relaxing with friends be it at the lake or around a campfire. 

Virginia Sisneros - AmeriCorps VISTA

 

Virginia is a native of Colorado who joins cityWILD as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Her experience with volunteering and nonprofit organizations will aid to strengthen cityWILD’s volunteer program. Virginia is an experienced backpacker who enjoys learning about the local vegetation and ecosystem. She has participated in numerous youth and adventure programs; Girls Incorporated of Metro Denver, an afterschool and summer program for girls that first motivated her to be an active member in her community and the Women’s Wilderness Institute, an outdoor program that uses activities such as backpacking and rock climbing to encourage and empower girls and women. Virginia plans to continue her education at Metropolitan State College of Denver to receive her teaching certificate.
